Elizabeth Presbyterian Church

Mission and Outreach

Elizabeth Presbyterian Church is striving to be a truly mission-driven congregation. The impact of this effort reaches near and far. Not only are we working to bring the help, hope, love and compassion of Christ to the people of our own community. We support other ministries around the region and the world, including the following.

Elbert County Community Outreach, a cooperative effort among various county groups and social service agencies to provide much-needed items and services to struggling families who are falling through the cracks in the system.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center, a Denver-area ministry providing Christian counseling and support to women facing unwanted pregnancies.

Love the Child, a ministry meeting the physical, spiritual and educational needs of Guatemalan orphans.

Denver Street School, a ministry providing hope and a second chance to at-risk high school students.

Friends for Youth, a Denver-area ministry that matches Christian volunteers with young people on probation to provide friendship and support.

Network Mission Partnership, a cooperative effort with other member churches of the Denver Presbytery to support the Network Coffeehouse. Located in the Capitol Hill area of Denver, the coffeehouse offers a place for homeless and mentally ill people to come in out of the cold and find Christ-like friendship over a hot cup of coffee.

Whiz Kids Tutoring, a ministry that provides tutoring and Bible teaching to elementary-aged children in at-risk neighborhoods around the Denver area.

Witnessing Ministries of Christ, a mission to redeem the minds, bodies and souls of India's 133.8 million "untouchables" in the name of Jesus Christ.

Zimbabwe Mission Partnership, also a cooperative effort among several member churches of the Denver Presbytery. The ministry works to enhance the health, education and spiritual development of the struggling people of the Nyamashato region of Zimbabwe. The ministry was founded by Ralph and Roberta Pippitt, members of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Castle Rock.

Where possible, the people of Elizabeth Presbyterian Church are involved with these ministries not only with their pocketbooks, but with their time and talents. Our goal is to be actively engaged in ministry outside the walls of the church, sharing Christ's love. If you would like to be involved with any of these ministries, or with the team that administrates this important effort for our church, please contact Carrie Whitely 303-646-5192.
