PNC Progress Report
March 22, 2009
Over the past few weeks, your PNC has
conducted its first personal interview, extended its first offer
and received its first disappointment.
(We were counseled by presbytery to expect several.)
After two weeks of fasting and prayer,
though intrigued with the potential at EPC,
that pastor decided to plant a church near his home town
rather than uproot his family and move to Colorado.
Nevertheless, we are of good cheer
for several very good reasons.
1.
The Lord has blessed us with many wonderful prospects.
We’ll be bringing another pastor in soon
for another round of extensive personal interviews.
2.
We are greatly lifted up by your prayers,
notes and words of encouragement.
The strength of this congregation continues to inspire us.
As we move on in the process, we seek your continued prayers
for renewal of spirit, energy, wisdom and commitment.
3.
We’re made strong by God’s word and pray that you are, too.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine,
according to his power that is at work within us,
to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations,for ever and ever! Amen.
