The guys meet every Saturday morning at 7:00, for Bible study and, after the coffee kicks in, rousing discussion. If you'd like to join us we meet at the church office. Bring your own coffee. At 8:00, we all head over to The Sawmill for breakfast.
Several of the guys consider themselves part of a loosely organized group called the T.O.U.G.H. Guys. The acronym stands for Transformed, Obedient, Upright, Godly and Humble. After breakfast on Saturdays, this group is available for tough-guy work projects around the church and around the community. And they're not afraid to get their hands dirty. If you have something that needs to be done, email Kevin at Kevin.Wood@centurylink.com.
The T.O.U.G.H. Guys also do oil changes for single women over at Eric's shop, Elizabeth Auto Repair. Watch for announcements on the next oil change.
The T.O.U.G.H. Guys have spawned a couple of ministries, as well. One is Turkeys for Troops which, in cooperation with the Elizabeth Food Bank, rounds up cash and donated turkeys for delivery every Thanksgiving to wounded troops and their families at Fort Carson. To help email Kevin.
The other is an annual fundraising event known as Mulligans for Military Golf Tournament out at Spring Valley Golf Course. The event is a benefit for Homes for Our Troops, an organization that builds specially adapted new homes for seriously injured veterans. For more on the tournament email Dan at email@example.com.
